Professional Maryland Private Duty Nursing Care

Private duty nursing in Maryland is the absolute best alternative when you need help completing those activities of daily living that you used to do without even giving a second thought. One-on-one care could best be thought of as an extension of your thoughts, legs, and hands. The caregiver is there to make your life easier and help you stay as independent as possible so that you can go through the day with a resemblance of the way you did when you were younger.

Continue Your Daily Routine With Your Dignity Intact

Having your own private caregiver can make it possible for you to remain at home or the private caregiver can give you that little extra TLC or attention when you are in a facility. When you have private duty care, there is no waiting for assistance while the caregiver is tending to others. They are there to be your assistant. From companionship to total patient care, A-1 Action Nursing Care’s assistants are able to help you continue your daily routine keeping your dignity intact.

Perhaps you just need someone to check on you or keep you company. For example, it can be lonesome eating all of your meals by yourself, and having someone to dine with may give you a better appetite. Also, the caregivers can assist you in getting to doctor appointments and/or to the grocery store. Should more assistance be required your private duty assistant can remind you to take your medication, as well as help with meal planning and meal preparation. The caregivers will help with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, laundry, and light housework. Other duties which can be provided include assistance with standing and walking and assistance with transferring to and from bed to chair or commode. They are with you to assist you in living as comfortably and self-assured as possible.

Quick and Easy Process

Setting up MD private duty care is not a difficult task. Simply telephoning our office will start the process. Basically, during the arrangement process, we will be asking some general questions regarding the location of the service, contact numbers for family or power of attorney, date of birth and a general idea of what type of care is needed according to your loved one's diagnosis. This information is helpful so that we can more easily find a caregiver to match your specific needs. Prior to this call, often a plan of care has already been established by the doctor’s office, caseworker or a prior visiting nurse. Should this not be the case most family member’s or power of attorney’s who are arranging care know exactly what needs to be done to make the clients life run more smoothly. Although, if a plan of care is needed, our office can make these arrangements. We will send a nurse to prepare a plan of care so that the caregivers have a guide to follow.
